The Massachusetts ADRC has an extensive repository of resources that may be utilized to facilitate national and international collaborative research. We affirm the National Institutes of Health’s statement on data sharing (NOT-OD-03-032) in translating research findings into knowledge, products and procedures that will improve individual and public health.
All requests should be emailed to our Center Director, Bradley T. Hyman, MD, PhD (b_hyman@helix.mgh.harvard.edu), and should include a complete project proposal plan, documentation of human and/or animal studies protocol approvals from your local Institutional Review Board (IRB), and IRB-approved informed-consent forms (where applicable). Procedures for safeguarding data privacy, retention and disposal must be documented.
Requests for accessing and use of the Center’s resources are reviewed by the Massachusetts ADRC Executive Committee on the basis of project scientific merit and the availability of Center resources.

Genetic Analysis of Alzheimer's Genes
Collaborative Research Projects
The Massachusetts ADRC is collaborating with approximately 18 Alzheimer's Disease Centers on a federally-funded and Alzheimer's Association-supported nationwide initiative to help identify genes that play a role in the development of Alzheimer's disease, and we need your help in study participation! Background information on the Alzheimer's Disease Genetics Initiative-Multiplex Family Study can be found on the website of the National Cell Repository for Alzheimer's Disease. Please contact our Genetics Initiative Coordinator at 617-726-0970 for opportunities to partake in our national efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease!
