Do you have difficulty with forgetfullness, planning, or problem-solving? Please consider participating in the Aware Study, which is investigating a treatment to reduce symptoms associated with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (AD).
The Aware Study assesses the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication (monoclonal antibody - passive vaccine - that removes abnormal tau protein from the brain) to determine whether it can reduce symptoms in early AD. The sponsor of the Aware Study is AbbVie pharmaceutical company.
You may be eligible for the Aware Study if you:
- Are age 55 to 85
- Are experiencing problems with memory or thinking that might be related to MCI or mild dementia due to AD
- Have a study partner who knows you well and can attend certain visits with you to tell us about your health and well-being
