Merck Agitation

We are seeking individuals that have been diagnosed with probable Alzheimer’s Disorder, Frontotemporal Dementia, or Dementia with Lewy Bodies with or without anxiety, agitation, or have irritability symptoms. The purpose of this study is to measure participants autonomic nervous physiology and actigraphy of agitation, irritability and anxiety in Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias.

Ages: 55-95

Participants will be asked to wear BioStamps to record their actigraphy and heart rate variance for two consecutive days. They will come into the lab once each day to complete different cognitive tests and study tasks. 

Optional sub study: A 20 min. acupuncture session while monitoring the participant’s sweat response and heart rate.  

Compensation: $50 and up to $150 of travel reimbursement
