Hyun-Sik Yang, MD

Dr. Hyun-Sik Yang is an Associate Neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Division of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology, and an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Yang is a physician scientist working with Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment (CART) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. He sees patients with dementia or other cognitive problems, and his research focuses on elucidating (1) interactions among multiple causes of dementia and (2) the role of immune system in early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, using genomics and biomarkers.

Dr. Yang graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine, and finished his residency at Harvard neurology Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. He finished his behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Yang is a recipient of 2017 Alzheimer’s Association Clinical Fellowship Award and National Institutes of Health Career Development Award (2019-2024).
