Judy Johanson

Judy was Caregiver to her late husband Steve, who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 59. In the midst of his diagnosis, Judy and Steve embraced the reality of this disease and found ways to create new legacies.

By engaging in educational programs, becoming advocates for more research funding and better care for those living with dementia, participating in observational memory studies, brain imaging studies, and clinical trials, they found passion and purpose in their work together and believe this work has advanced their dream of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Steve’s final gift to science was the donation of his brain. Judy chooses to share their story and experiences in hopes of helping others navigate their way through dementia.
